Logistics tech firm GoBolt will use the funding it raised during pre-Series A round earlier this month, on ramping up operations, business and, development of technology. The company received the funding from MCube8, the incubation arm of MCube Capital.
“We’ll be using the funds to ramp up our operations,” GoBolt co-founder Parag Aggarwal told VCCircle.
GoBolt, based in Delhi, operates in Line Haul & Short Haul Trucking and is run by Camions Logistics Solutions Pvt. Ltd. The tech start-up in transportation industry caters to sectors such as e-commerce, pharma and automobile, and food processing companies, consumer goods makers and white goods manufacturers. Philips, Cadbury, Panasonic, PepsiCo and Tupperware are among its several clients.
The company was founded in September 2015 by SP Jain Institute of Management & Research alumni Sumit Sharma, Parag Aggarwal and Naitik Baghla. GoBolt offers services for transportation of goods from one location to another, both within and outside the city.
According to Sharma’s LinkedIn profile description, GoBolt also provides “a Holistic Transportation solution to clients from Design to Deliver that includes – Right vehicle selection, route/delivery planning, real time tracking, reliable documentation and control, and high levels of service orientation with a Single point of Contact (SPOC) for an account.”
It has a total of 600 trucks, including self-owned and aggregated, to meet its demands and offers services in over 35 cities.
Know the Founders
Co-founder and Director at GoBOLT, Sharma is an engineering graduate from Delhi School of Engineering. After graduating in 2008, he started work at Ernst & Young as an Associate Consultant for two years.
Soon after leaving EY in 2011, he joined SP Jain Institute of Management & Research, where he studied Master of Business Administration (MBA), Finance and Financial Management Services. After completing his studies, Sharma joined JM Financial as an Associate and after working for over two year, he co-founded GoBolt.
Aggarwal is one of the three co-founders of GoBolt and also a batchmate of Sharma. He joined Indian Oil Corporation Limited and worked there for almost three years before taking up Master of Business Administration (MBA), Operations Management course at SP Jain Institute of Management & Research.
Aggarwal then joined GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare Ltd as Manager – Warehousing & Secondary Distribution after completing his MBA course. After working for two-and-a-half years at GlaxoSmithKline, he joined hands with Sharma and Baghla to head GoBolt in September last year.
GoBolt’s third co-founder Baghla completed his graduation in mechanical engineering from Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Patiala, in 2007 and completed his MBA from SP Jain Institute in 2011.
He worked as Assistant Manager, Sourcing & Vendor Development, at Tata Motors for a year before taking up the MBA course in 2009. He then joined GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare Ltd right after completing his course as Assistant Manager, Distribution & Logistics. He was later promoted in 2013 as Supply Planning Manager and continued till August last year.
