Moving towards Digital Industrial, Siemens to acquire Mentor Graphics

Mentor Graphics, is one of the leader & developers in the field of developing software for designing automation which covers System-on-Chip (SoC) & Integrated Circuit (IC) design to automated electronics solution.

Siemens has acquired Mentor Graphics for $37.25 per share to design & develop industrial as well as automated software. After this news, Siemens has become one of the unique players in the digital industry to provide thermal, electronics, mechanical, embedded & electrical software design which capability of integrating over a single platform.

President & CEO of Siemens AG, Joe Kaeser shared his vision that “Siemens acquiring Mentor is a concept of their Vision 2020 which will be Benchmark for New Industrial Age. To build pace in industry & expand their digitalization leadership, they have got one of the accurate & flawless portfolios.

“Combining the leadership technology of Mentor’s & strong customer relations of Siemens’ over global scale & resources will help us to fulfill the desire or growing needs of customers with opening great opportunities for our employees” was said by Walden C. Rhines, Mentor’s Chairman & CEO.

Making their presence by having offices over 32 countries, Mentor has its H.Q. at Wilsonvilla, Oregon, U.S. Mentor had around 5,700 employees & generated income of approx. $1.2 billion with adjusted operations margin of 20.2% at the end of financial year 31st January 2016.
